I am planning on writing a book in which I talk to key members of Tucson’s current music community and trace the lineage back through the weird, sometimes sordid, occasionally incredible moments in Southern Arizona music history. It will be a semi-subjective look at this area’s under-appreciated musical history, filled with apocryphal tales that had a deeper impact than stuff that actually happened. If I do a good job, it will be a fun read – that much is for sure. I will be reaching out to friends for interviews soon, as well as a few people I’ve always wanted to talk to but never got the chance to. At the very least, I’ll self-publish it. I’ll need your help getting the word out when the time comes.
